I was taking a dump when god spoke to me.

The sky tore open and a spear thudded onto the ground.

He ordered me to sacrifice my father to him.

It was the same god who ordered me to slaughter my sister… the same god who provided the spoon that I buried into her soft skull.

I was born and raised in this hellhole… old enough to know that god is everywhere.

God sees everything.

There’s nowhere to run… or hide.

God said something about ratings going up.

And that only one of us will get off this island alive.

Hi FF family. I’m soooo late, I know! 🙂 But I promise to read a few stories over the weekend. BRB xo

  1. Dear K.Z.

I knew there was a reason I never watch Survivor. You may have hit a new height in low. 😉 You had me flushed at the first line. Well done.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  2. Hahahahaha! That last line got me. As a guy who works in TV, that was a good one. It gets brutal no matter what end of the production/executive spectrum you’re on.

    Five TV screens!

  3. Taking a dump will never be the same again. And how do you kill a person with a spoon?
This seems to be part spoof part horror this week, or maybe I just see the funny side in everything.

  4. Chilling, K.Z. I’ve known far too many people in the real world who actually think the voices they hear are those of deity. You tell a stark tale with just enough foreshadowing to lead the reader to the tragic conclusion.

    All my best,
    Marie Gail
