Festival of Drabbles 2015

I LOVE 100-word stories! Well, obviously. Or else I wouldn’t have written 100 Nightmares. This is why I’m proud to announce that I am a supporter of the First Festival of Drabbles 2015!

The first Festival of Drabbles will start on November 9th and run until the 15th. It will be a week long celebration of drabbles and the art of drabble writing including some of the finest drabblists in the world.

Fellow author Michael Brookes was the one who came up with this brilliant idea. And I’m very pleased to be invited as a participant. If you’re new to drabbles, they are a form of flash fiction in which the story is told in exactly 100 words.

If you’re on Facebook, feel free to join the event! Invite any friends that you think would be interested and share the event on your timeline. 🙂

If you’re on Twitter then tweet a link to this event and if you can use the #festivalofdrabbles hashtag that would be awesome!

See you there!

New Reviews!

Hey! Hope everything’s fine with you. 🙂 I’ve been a little busy lately. But I’m really excited about sharing with you a couple of awesome new reviews. One is for my book, 100 Nightmares and one is for Floppy Shoes Apocalypse, an anthology by JEA Press.

It makes me really happy to see that one year after its publication, 100 Nightmares is still getting some great reviews from book review sites. Wende from Julie’s Book Review said that it’s: “A wild twisted ride from start to finish… Morano did an outstanding freaky fantastic job!”

I would also like to thank Dave of the Horror Cabin for saying some nice stuff about my story, “They Died Laughing” in Floppy Shoes Apocalypse. According to him it’s: “As oddly arousing as it is freakishly disturbing…”

If you have a thing for killer clowns and you haven’t grabbed a copy of FSA yet, head over to Amazon! Plenty of amazing authors and stories in this book…

And of course, don’t forget to write a review! 😉

It’s also such a huge honor to be able to make it to The Cult of Me Blog’s Top 5 Reads for 2014!
http://thecultofme.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/my-top-five-reads-for-2014.html

OMG It’s been such an awesome year. A book published, great reviews from various horror sites, being included in the Recommended Reading List, invitations from editors to participate in anthologies, offers from two publishers, winning Editor’s Choice Award not once but twice!…and of course, I’ll never forget all the lessons that I’ve learned about self-publishing . I can honestly say that I’ve grown a lot as a writer ever since my first published story. But most importantly, I’m grateful for all the friendships that I’ve built along the way. Sure, I’ve met a few assholes as well… but overall, it’s been a pretty pleasant trip. 😉

Thank you so much to everyone who supported 100 Nightmares and all the other story collections that I’m in. Thanks for following this blog. Thanks for being here.

Thank you <3

My holidays have been really busy! I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family. I’m always so exhausted, eating and laughing too much and not getting enough rest and sleep. I’m sure I’ve gained weight but I’m quite happy. 🙂 Hope you’re having a wonderful time as well. 🙂

Note: This is a scheduled post. This season’s pretty sacred for my family so we’ll all be hanging out in our departed loved ones’ mausoleum… praying and lighting candles and eating and catching up and watching wholesome movies with the projector on top of our ancestors’ sarcophagus (not necessarily in that order). 😉

Anyway, awesome news: Writer, photographer, artist and award winning jeweler Isadora De La Vega interviewed me! Visit her blog to read the Q&A. http://insidethemindofisadora.com/2014/10/29/eclectic-eccentric/

She asked me about 100 Nightmares, Bones III, and my thoughts on writing, publishing, and the horror genre.

Thank you, Isadora, for the lovely conversation. ❤
