Hey!!! Missing you. Hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day. ❤ ❤ ❤
Aaanyway, now that THAT’s over, let’s get down to the REAL meaning of February. February is WOMEN IN HORROR MONTH!

Yes, for 28 days, we celebrate and highlight all the fabulous and filthy minded ladies in the horror industry. 😉 So I made a little list of my favorite female horror writers to update you on their latest works. They’re all very talented authors and I’m proud to call them my friends. 🙂 I hope that you check out their pages and support their projects because their stories really deserve to be read.
1) Lori R. Lopez has a bizarre and beautiful imagination.
Her latest collection, Odds And Ends: A Dark Collection is an assortment of the weird and wonderfully grim. The book consists of twenty-six original tales with various themes, flash fiction, micro-fiction, and essays.

The multi-talented Ms. Lopez does her own artwork and book covers!
Lori has published several solo projects which you can view by visiting her amazon author page: http://www.amazon.com/Lori-R.-Lopez/e/B003WJFUN8
In fact, one of her stories, Spider Soup is currently FREE on Amazon!!

Lori Lopez appears in several anthologies including Dead Harvest: A Collection of Dark Tales which consists of 50 scary stories from both big and soon-to-be-big names in the industry. This is definitely on my to-read list! 🙂

2) I’ve always admired authors with a talent for combining the erotic and the horrific.
Magenta Nero’s writing is strange, scary, and sensual.
She is a regular contributor to The Pen of the Damned and this is a link to one of her excellent stories, “LaLupa” : http://penofthedamned.com/2015/01/13/lalupa/
Magenta’s works appear/ are to appear in several anthologies such as the soon-to-be-released title, Undead Legacy from J Ellington Ashton Press and WetWorks.

Meanwhile, be sure to follow her blog: https://magentanero.wordpress.com/ to read some of her works of fiction.

I’m also happy to announce that I’ll be sharing pages with Ms. Fox in a new Thirteen O’Clock Press antho, The Witch’s Cauldron, edited by Dorothy Davies.
Meanwhile, be sure to read one of Dona’s outstanding pieces in Rejected For Content: Splattergore (Volume 1), a collection of the most hard-core, blasphemous, violent, gory, explicit short stories available!

4) Mary Genevieve Fortier is a brilliant poet. She is also one of the sweetest, kindest horror writers I’ve ever met. 🙂
