In response to jakesprinters weekly photo challenge, I give you my FAVORITE… ^^
I already told you how gaga I am over coconut water in my older post** — it’s nature’s soft drink! ^^ It’s a great way to rehydrate your body, raise metabolism, promote weight loss, detoxify, cleanse your digestive tract and prevent urinary tract infections. I’m glad that I get to kill several birds with this one stone post. It’s a great way to spark awareness on the health benefits of the coconut water as well as the other uses of the coconut tree from root to tip:
• Coconut Roots can be used for medicinal purposes.
• Coconut Trunk yields durable wood which is made to various pieces of furniture and structures.
• Coconut Husk is utilized to make rope, matting, and coarse cloth.
• Coconut Leaves are used for roofing, paper pulp, midrib brooms, hats, fans, bags, etc
• Coconut Inflorescence is used to produce Coconut Juice or Tuba – otherwise known as the “poor man’s wine”.
• Virgin coconut oil is used for cosmetic and healing purposes.
• Coconut Shell can be used as materials for handicrafts.
• And lastly, let’s not forget the coconut cooking oil and coconut vinegar which are staples in our household. ^^
And that’s just the really short version. The coconut tree has many more wonderful uses but that’s what google is for 😉
I love the coconut tree! It gives and gives ‘til there’s no more… It’s only appropriate for it to be called the Tree of Life. 🙂
Photos taken @ family-owned farm in Bombon, Cam Sur during last year’s visit ^^ no way to glam up the pics — it is what it is, naturally beautiful.

Just over a month and a steadily growing number of followers…
It may not be plenty enough for you but it’s more than I have ever hoped for.
Thank you. ^^
Did you know that this blog was supposed to be a fashion blog?
Oh come on, surely you’ve noticed my blog title? ^^
I was gonna post photos of myself every day, wearing different outfits, with labels and short descriptions. 🙂
But somehow, I was taken into an entirely different direction.
And I’m glad. 🙂
So this blog is a little hard to define…
I write about anything and everything
Of this world and out of this world…
Fashion, food, travel, sand between my toes…
Prose, poetry, crappy photography :p
My own issues, other people’s issues,
Sigh.
I’m just a silly girl with a lot of things on my mind. 🙂
So I guess this is just my little space.
Where everyone’s invited. 🙂

What enchanted creatures dwell
in these mystical falls?
Fairies? Elves? Spirits? Trolls?
Soft whispers…
Small giggles…
An enchantress of the forest,
Could it be?
Nah, just me…
A happy, giddy,
Thrilled-to-my-toes little me. 🙂

Below the lush greenery of Mt. Isarog in the Bicol region lies a hidden gem. Warm welcoming fresh spring water to soothe your troubles away… You get plenty of privacy during the cold months, which is by the way, the best season to visit the spring.. It’s a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of the city and now, they have rooms so vacationers can have a comfy overnight stay. Boyfie and I love going there during October when it starts to get a little chilly but basically we can just hop in the car and go there whenever we like. ^^ I especially love it when we get up around 4 a.m.-ish and it’s raining a little… The coldness in the mountain air and the raindrops and the hot water just overwhelms my senses. A tip though: don’t go there if it’s been raining for several consecutive days since landslides may occur. 🙂
I’m absolutely positively cray cray over this week’s challenge . So much so that this is my third, and I assure you, last entry ^^ ( 1st here, 2nd here )
Renewal can mean a lot of things… It could be a massive life-changing turn of events… a deep realization… the rebirth of things… the rekindling of a fire from the past… or it could simply be returning to your roots. And for me, that is my family.
You already know how much I love summers with my family. During the rest of the year, we may be scattered across the Philippines, Japan, the U.S. and Canada but during summers, we’re one big happy family. ^^ Here are some photos during another lazy summer afternoon. Photos were taken at CWC ( Camarines Sur Water Sports Complex ), another great tourist destination in my beloved province. Also, I wanna go back to what this blog has been initially about. 🙂
If you’re a fan of wakeboarding, visit the CWC website here
