Carpe Diem: Daily Haiku 57

windmill

Rows of tulips watch
With glee as the windmill’s vanes
Kiss the soft spring breeze.

Looming above me
Strong blades slicing through the wind
Brave warrior of old.

In the shadows lurk
My imaginary foes
Tilting at windmills.

*A scheduled post. Last haiku a reference to Don Quixote, a literary piece i loved so much when i was.. errr younger.. ^^

Carpe Diem word for today: Windmills

  1. Beautiful haiku set, kz! You used the unusual ‘angles’ in your haiku to extend a lasting impression on readers. And you made the surroundings alive to keep them company, despite the emergence of DQ! Nicely!
