Carpe diem: Daily Haiku 33

Underneath face paint
Lie remnants of broken dreams
The show must go on.

With a soulful sigh
Tumbler rubs her aching feet
Behind closed curtains.

Elephant dances
Fearing the ringmaster’s crop
The audience cheers on.

In a tent somewhere
Gymnast and ringmaster’s wife
Sordid love affair.

Honestly, I never really liked the circus and clowns scare the crap out of me ^^
Word for today: Circus

    • true story abt that clown though.. i was surprised when he asked to borrow the bathroom then stepped out in white nurses’ uniform… ah, he said he can’t find a good enough job in a hospital here so he had to have these gigs.. and i understand that very well, being a nurse myself ^^ thanks

  1. Except that you already mentioned the clown was a male who changed into a nurses uniform, I was going to ask if the picture was another side of you, we haven’t seen before? 😛
