Between sheets of blue
Two whales lying side by side
Creating big waves.
恵
Sirens of the deep
Drunken sailor lulled to sleep
Homesick lullaby.
恵
Belly of the whale
Surely there are better ways
To teach obedience.

key word for today: Whale
*last ku was ’bout the story of jonah (old testament) bed time bible story my aunt used to read to me ^^

What a precious trio! Which is my fav…? mmm, difficult choice…. I love the movement in the first, the melancholy in the second, the strong message in the third. All of them sound like siren songs.
thank you so much^^ glad you like them
love the biblical reference in the third…..
thanks
that story’s associated w/ good memories
Your haiku are magical always
haha that’s a huge compliment from you.. thanks
I see you had a ‘whale of a time’ with this prompt! I wondered who would be able to give it a biblical dimension…I shouldn’t have! Your second haiku with the haunting homesick lullaby is fine stuff, but the first has the feel of the classical haiku. I said a “long” time ago this form fits you like a glove – haiku – still does.
all of them were very imaginative, KZ..well done
thank you
Once again your haikus shine, thank you. I love the humour in them
haha yes i thought the first one’s pretty darn funny, two whales making out. thanks for droppin’ by ^^
Awesome series of haiku KZ, every one a little gem. I like the reference to Job in your third haiku. Very well composed. Thank you for your daily effort to share your haiku on Carpe Diem.
thank you^^
Very well done series! I think the first is my favorite!
